Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release is advanced Body work to relieve pain and restore function and mobility…
What is it and what can it do for me?
Myofascial release refers to a series of techniques designed to release areas of facial restriction. It works by releasing one by one restrictions throughout the whole body giving relief to many aches and pains in one treatment. Myofascial release brings about permanent change in the tissues so that the results will last longer than conventional massage treatments.
Postural changes can occur so that symptoms do not keep re-occurring. We can also integrate Myofascial Release into your Sports Massage. Select Sports Massage with Myofascial Release when booking online.

What happens in a treatment?
If you like stretching you will love Myofascial release!
Treatment approaches vary according to the condition you present with. Mostly you will be lying down on one of our heated couches covered with towels or blankets. The Therapist will use a variety of different techniques by applying gentle traction to a large area of the body eg back, hamstrings, arms or leg.
Once a release is felt more focussed stretching of individual muscles will be applied. The therapist relies on feedback from the client to ensure that you are feeling comfortable with any sensations you experience.
Sensations during a Myofascial release treatment vary for each individual from tingling, tightness, heat, cold and sometimes emotions or old memories can occur. The therapist is trained to help guide you safely through anything that may occur so that you feel secure at all times. A sense of intense relaxation and an improved sense of freedom, energy and ease within the body are some of the sensations reported by client.
We are Brighton & Hove’s main centre for Myofascial release with more therapists trained in this field of bodywork than any where else in the city.
